My dad, Ted Hicks, remembers coming to the Lyons Building Campground in approximately 1921. Since my dad was the oldest of eight children, and the Lyons Building was to meet the needs of under-privileged children. He happily attended the campground facilities. I believe that Henry Lyons was the financial sponsor of this organization.

My parents were Ted & Non (Cliffe) Hicks and my dads' parents were originally from England.
